A Quiet Room by the Shore is home to a growing community of independent counsellors, psychotherapists and clinical psychologists. If you’re setting up in private practice for the first time, or looking for a new professional home, we’d love to hear from you.

Who we’re looking for

Qualified counsellors, psychotherapists as well as clinical and/or counselling psychologists, who are either already established in, or setting up in, independent private practice.

You will be a member of UKCP, BPS, COSCA, BACP, HCPC or equivalent, and hold your own professional liability and indemnity insurance.

How therapy room hire works

Our rooms are let on a block booking basis, with a 4-hour minimum per week. Beyond that, you can book additional ad-hoc hours or add further blocks as your practice grows.

You will be offered an initial 3-month rent agreement, providing you time to grow your practice and to see whether A Quiet Room is a good fit. After that, we move to an annual agreement.

Our room rates of £10 per hour are highly competitive and have remained stable throughout AQR’s existence.
